Rumor: Britney to pitch TV show... with K-Fed

Pilot for musical comedy may get boost from K-Fed
BY BILL ZWECKER Sun-Times Columnist

Sounds like that guest gig on "How I Met Your Mother" has given Britney Spears the TV bug — again. Of course, we can't forget she did start out on the revived "Mickey Mouse Club."

Anyway, seems Spears and her ex-hubby — with whom she's recently smoothed things over — are seriously talking about working together on a pilot for a variety show Britney would host.

Britney's working on a variety TV show -- and she's talking to K-Fed about helping out.

Kevin Federline, who met his ex-wife while working as one of her backup dancers, reportedly would be a key choreographer for the project.

Though the concept of the prime-time musical-comedy variety show hasn't worked in years, sometimes things do come full circle. We'll just have to see if this one flies.

Spears supposedly will pitch the concept to all the networks.

Kevin Turns 30 In Las Vegas

Kevin Federline celebrated his 30th birthday in Las Vegas on Friday night.
The dancer-turned-musician-turned-actor hit up Pure Nightclub at Caesar's Palace, a popular spot that has also seen parties hosted by Federline's ex, Britney Spears, and friend Paris Hilton.
Sporting his trademark faux-hawk, Federline entered the party dressed in a gray suit and wearing a light blue shirt. He told People he felt "great" about turning the big 3-0.

Federline attended the soiree with around 20 friends, People reported. His posse included family members and his custody attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan.
Once inside, Federline met up with his ex-girlfriend, Shar Jackson, with whom he has two children.
People reported Federline sang along to music from Kanye West and Jay-Z and his own song, "Lose Control." He also spent the evening drinking from a bottle of Jack Daniels, the magazine's Web site claimed.
Federline told fans to have "a good time," and said he lost his "voice at the craps tables and I lost all my money," People reported.
No worries necessarily though, as a judge ordered Federline's legal fees in the amount of $375,000 to be paid by Britney, earlier this week.

Britney's Portion Of Kevin's Legal Fees Decided

Britney Spears has been ordered to pay $375,000 of Kevin Federline's legal bills, according to court documents released Monday. Los Angeles Court Commissioner Scott Gordon called the legal billing "reasonable," in large part because "the actions of [Spears] caused the great majority of litigation."

Last week, the pop star's lawyer, Stacy Phillips, complained that Federline's attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, had over-charged Spears, and asked that Federline be ordered to contribute to his own legal bills in the former couple's ongoing custody case. Citing Federline's tip of $2,000 on a recent $365 dining tab, Phillips contended that Federline could afford to help pay "for the diligent work being done on his behalf." She also criticized Kaplan for raising his hourly fee.
Family courts have the power to order one party to pay for the other's fees, based on income and needs. Federline had previously declared in court papers made public last year that he had no steady income, while Spears takes in more than $700,000 a month.

Kevin Federline's birthday at Pure

K-Fed’s Big B-day Payday

How much would you pay for one night with Kevin Federline? If you’re Pure nightclub, the answer is: a lot!

Multiple sources tell that former Mr. Britney Spears is being paid at least six figures to host his 30th birthday party at the Las Vegas hotspot on March 21. (Check out the invite, above!) One insider says he will make about $175,000.

“Kevin is a big spender, and a draw for the crowds. So the money he gets is nothing compared to the money they make,” the source tells

The big payday is particularly interesting considering that earlier this week, Britney’s lawyer argued that the pop star shouldn’t have to pay for Kevin’s legal fees because he has more money than he claims.

The family insider tells us that Kevin is planning on spending a few days in Las Vegas, which might give his ex-wife a chance to spend some quality time with their kids.

“Kevin is hoping Britney will be able to have time with the boys for a few days while he is gone, but it all depends on how she is doing at the time,” says the insider. “Also, Kevin has to feel confident that Jamie [Spears] will make sure the boys are watched over at all times while she is with them.”

Even though he’s leaving sons Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden, 1, behind, the aspiring rapper won’t be lacking for company. Brother Chris Federline, who just celebrated his own birthday this week, will also be on hand for the party.

"Kevin loves Vegas and would like to make a party time out of it,” adds the source.

Kevin Is An Uncle

Kevin Federline has become an uncle. The failed rapper's younger brother Cameron Federline and his wife welcomed their new daughter into the world last week. The baby was born with a minor upper respiratory infection but is now doing well, according to reports.

Cameron Federline was arrested last year for allegedly serving alcohol to minors.

A source said, "Kevin is really proud to be an uncle. Although she was unwell when she was born she is doing okay now." Kevin Federline plans on visiting his newborn niece and bring along his two sons - Sean Preston, 2, and 17-month-old Jayden James.

Since getting temporary full custody of the children from his ex-wife Britney Spears, Federline has been praised for his parenting skills. Earlier this year, the 29-year-old was even named Dad of the Year by Details magazine. As well as Sean Preston and Jayden James, Federline also has a five-year-old daughter Kori and a three-year-old son Kaleb, from his relationship with actress Shar Jackson.

Shar Defends Kevin's Weight Gain

Kevin Federline's ex-girlfriend Shar Jackson has dubbed the star's recent weight gain "daddy weight," putting it down to him gaining full custody of his kids with ex-wife Britney Spears.

Federline was granted full physical custody of 2-year-old Sean Preston and 1-year-old Jayden James last year after Spears failed to adhere to court-ordered medical tests. The troubled singer was also stripped of her visitation rights to the boys in January but the former couple has since agreed a new deal to let Spears have limited access to her children.

Federline has embraced his role as a full-time father but has been spotted looking noticeably fuller-figured recently.
Jackson blames his weight gain on spending more time at home with his sons.

She tells Us magazine, "It's daddy weight! When you are a full-time parent, sometimes you can't focus on you. If gaining a few pounds is your only problem, life's not too bad!"

Federline's representative has also confirmed the 29-year-old is not bothered about piling on the pounds, saying, "He's a stay-at-home dad, and people tend to gain weight when they are home with the kids. He's very happy with the way he looks."
